I suspended a page of sheet music over a DVD (they have better reflectivity than CDs), used three work lights to create the laser effect. I couldn’t decide whether to print out the sheet music reversed, so it would show up correctly in the CD, or leave it mroe abstract like this. Ultimately, laziness made my decision, and I stuck with this shot.

A porcelin and bamboo Japanese art piece. Taken in low light handheld, thank goodness for NeatImage. Some selective partial desaturation and overlay to create a more dreamy effect.

These three photos were all taken with very cooperative bees who were going about their business without paying much attention to the macro lens I was pointing at them. I didn’t go out hunting bees that day, they just seemed to find me.

This was actually a set of bricks customized with names, presumable of donors to the walkway, at the public dock in Boothbay Harbor, ME. The natural placement of this fallen fruit seemed a funny juxtaposition.
