For this week’s ThemeThursday topic: frame. I thought this shot had a great mood showing the world outside our windows. Sometimes computer geeks like me forget to take a look outside once in a while.
Another entry for ThemeThursday ; this week’s theme is ring. No newlywed can hear “ring” without thinking of that which is a new symbol of a promising future. My bride gave the suggestion of cropping the rings outside the frame, which I think was a great idea. I like the watercolor feel on this, which makes it somehow timeless, doesn’t focus on the details (and dents/scratches) of the rings, but rather the feeling they impart. Okay, enough hopeless romanticism for this post. Enjoy!
Edit: Oops…appears that any significant photoshopping of ThemeThursday images is not allowed, and my link has been taken down. Oh well, live and learn. I don’t think I would’ve done this image any other way.
For this week’s ThemeThursday entry : twisted. Here’s my protest again the low-carb craze, which I think it pretty twisted.
The hope was to have a whole bed of white rotini, and a double-helix pattern of colored pasta, but I discovered that obtaining that much resolution from elements the size of a piece of pasta would’ve taken a lot more rotini than I had in the house, so here we have it.
Purple is this week’s ThemeThursday challenge. This shot just melts purple to me, for obvious reasons. And lots of love to my wife for being both a beautiful, and patient, model. Hopefully it won’t be the last time!
The harsh light in this photo really makes the purples stand out. It made my lovely model a lot more pale and eerie than she normally looks! Also avoiding the standard portrait soft-focus gives an edge here that I like.
This week’s ThemeThursday theme is oops. This is a tree that has taken the initiative to wrap itself around our back fence. I guess we should have trimmed it earlier….oops!
My first ThemeThursday entry ever! I’d love feedback. I hope to participate regularly. This week’s theme : noise. I think this photo evokes a noise that hopefully will make the viewer’s skin crawl.
Taken in RAW, converted to TIFF with Canon’s FileViewer, and then the background was desaturated to bring out the chalkboard. Curves were altered very slightly. Exposed up one stop because of the dark rug and chalkboard surface.
